Privacy

G33K is a private, non-commercial project, run by one person for a small circle of friends. You can only get in with an invitation. There are no ads, no trackers, no analytics, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone.
What is stored
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- What you fill in yourself: display name, handle, avatar and bio.
- The fandoms you pick, which shape your feed and timeline.
- Your lists: what you watch, read, build and play, and the status you gave each item.
- Your thumbs up and down on stories, and which stories you opened, so the feed can learn and fade what you already saw.
- Your friends, and the requests between you.
- Your XP, level and badges.
- Feedback you send, together with the screen you were on when you sent it.
Your best F1RST streak is kept in your own browser, not on the server. Clearing your site data removes it.
Where it lives
In a Postgres database at Supabase, in the European Union. The app itself runs on Vercel. Signing in is handled by Supabase Auth, and if you choose Continue with Google, Google knows you signed in to G33K and tells us your email address, name and profile picture. Nothing more.
Who can see it
Only friends you accepted, and only the lists you share with them. Strangers see nothing, not even that you exist. That rule lives in the database itself, not only on the screen. The admin can see account rows in order to keep the app running and to answer your feedback.
Where the content comes from
Film and series data from TMDB, LEGO data from Brickset, Magic data from Scryfall, books from Open Library, and news from public feeds. Those sources are asked about titles and sets, never about you.
Cookies
Only the ones needed to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking.
Getting your data out, or deleting it
You can delete your account yourself, from Profile in the menu. That removes your lists, your thumbs and your friendships, and it cannot be undone. Rather have it done for you, or want a copy of everything stored about you first? Mail support@g33k.site and it is done within a month. You can also correct anything that is wrong.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the change shows up in What’s new inside the app.
